Pain Management and Sedation

Sedation

Dr. Wolfson realizes that a trip to any dentist can be a nerve-racking experience and may bring back unpleasant childhood memories from a time when dentistry was less advanced than it is today.  The thought of a root canal can create its own fears and phobia.

While Dr. Wolfson cannot guarantee that there will be no discomfort, the overall level of discomfort that patients can expect is significantly less than previously experienced when a root canal was performed even just a few years ago.  Dr. Wolfson is focused on patient management and the use of state-of-the-art technology to relieve pain and anxiety.

For patients who are still anxious, nervous or have complex medical conditions, Dr. Wolfson offers dental sedation. With sedation, you can sleep through the entire procedure and there will be no anxious moments associated with the procedure and you will be oblivious to any of the noises, smells or tastes associated with your procedure.

Ask Dr. Wolfson if dental sedation is right for you.  He will carefully review your particular situation and medical history and recommend which option is best for you, including: mild sedation, conscious sedation, intravenous sedation and general anaesthesia.
